🎺Exciting News from the Band Department!🥁
Intermediate and Advanced Band students will be working closely with our Beginner Band students! This is a fantastic opportunity for the younger musicians to learn directly from their more experienced peers, building both skills and confidence. It's a great way to foster leadership and collaboration within our band community.
We couldn’t be more proud of our student musicians for stepping up to help each other grow. Had to share this proud moment! Keep an ear out for great things from these talented kids!

🌸Ag Science Students in Action!🌸
Our KMS Ag Science class had an exciting hands-on learning experience! Students got to dissect lilies and examine the different parts of the flower up close. Using microscopes, we observed the intricate details of the petals, stamens, pistils, and more. It was a fantastic way to explore the fascinating world of plant biology and deepen our understanding of how flowers function.
Great job, everyone! Keep up the amazing work! 🔬

🦕Exciting News from Mrs. Ellison's 6th Grade Social Studies Classes 🦖🦴
Today, our KMS students put on their paleontologist hats and dug deep into history--literally!
They had an amazing time unearthing fossils and learning firsthand about the past. It was a hands-on experience that brought ancient history to life right here in our classroom.
Stay tuned for more exciting projects from Mrs. Ellison's class! 🖤💛

🌟Exciting news from Mrs. Snipes' 6th Grade Science Classes🌟
Our KMS budding young scientists are diving into an amazing hands-on experiment--growing bacteria in the lab!

A big THANK YOU to the Kennett Education Foundation for funding the Bacteria Growing Lab! Thank you for all you do!🖤💛

The KMS STEM class is off to a great start this year! Mrs. Payne’s 7th-grade students have been working hard for several days to complete the "Design a Shoe" STEM challenge. During the challenge, students worked in groups and used the Engineering Design Process to create a prototype for a pair of shoes. They were encouraged to explore different materials, design considerations, and the functionality of the footwear. The STEM class had a runway show to celebrate their designs on October 10, 2024.
