Positive MAP Testing vibes throughout the halls at KMS. The students and staff have been working extremely hard to prepare for the state assessments.

KMS Parents/Guardians, we will begin taking the ELA portion of the MAP test tomorrow. Please encourage your child to do their best and to get plenty of rest. Please work with your child on these helpful tips so that they can do their best on the assessment.

The Kennett Middle School art department was awarded a grant to create one of a kind canvas projects that were a reflection of the different buildings and the school as a whole. Students grades 6-8 worked on these projects afterschool as part of the enrichment program offered at KMS. To say I am impressed with the creativity, tenacity and dedication exhibited by these students is an understatement. They planned, drew out a tentative sketch, made lists and created some of the most wonderful pieces of art. The individual canvases will be a part of each building and remain as a lasting mark for these students. To have a vested interested in the school you are a part of is so important in bridging on to become a part of the community. I was very blessed to be a small part of this project that was so big for these students. Thank you to all the administrators who are continually supporting the arts.
