
Kennett #39 School District will host an Open House event for the FEMA Building located at KHS on Monday, January 29, from 4:00-5:15. In addition, we will also have our first athletics event in the FEMA Building that night when our girls host Sikeston.

Good morning, below is information that was approved in our January, Board Of Education meeting that is important for those involved in athletics.
Approved August 3, 2024 - August 11, 2024, as the summertime “dead period” for all MSHSAA-sponsored activities, with the first possible practice date of August 12, 2024.

Reminder for Seniors and Parents: FAFSA drop-in meeting Wednesday, January 24, 3:00-6:30 in the KHS Library Media Center.

After a 5-1 performance today in the Jackson High School Meet, KHS 21st CCLC Robotics moves into the 1st place ranking in the conference!!

Due to declining road conditions, KHS is canceling all after-school activities. Including the basketball game and wrestling matches scheduled for Sikeston tonight.

Due to inclement weather, KHS will not have any 21st CCLC after-school tutoring and enrichment activities today, Thursday, January 18, 2024.

Due to the conditions of the secondary roads, Kennett #39 School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. This will be an AMI day, and you will receive further instructions from your building principal regarding the AMI process.

Girls and Boys basketball games scheduled for tonight, January 16th are postponed due to inclement weather and road conditions. The Boy's game has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 18 at Sikeston with a 7:00 start (varsity only). We are working with Holcomb High School to reschedule the Girl's game. Once we have a date/time we will get that information out.

Due to inclement weather and poor road conditions, Kennett District #39 will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024, utilizing an Alternate Method of Instruction (AMI) day. Attached is the KHS AMI schedule for Google Meet times. Students are expected to log on to their respective class periods according to the schedule.

The wrestling tournament scheduled for Park Hills, Saturday, January 6, has been canceled due to inclement weather.

Tonight's High School Girls' basketball game at Malden has been canceled. We will let you know when it is rescheduled.

KHS will not have any after-school 21st CCLC tutoring program on Thursday, December 21st.

KHS wrestling competed in the Cape Tiger Classic this weekend. Corderro Taylor, Fred Patterson, and Logan Decker each earned a 6th place medal in their respective weight classes. Justin Brooks earned the 4th place medal in his class and Kevin Thompson was 2nd in his class. Congratulations gentlemen!!! It's a GREAT DAY TO BE AN INDIAN!!







The KHS 21st CCLC Robotics team traveled to compete in the Cape Notre Dame High School Robotics tournament. The team finished the day 6-1. Congratulations!! It's a GREAT DAY TO BE AN INDIAN!!



Mrs. Tilmon's food general FCS classes prepared and hosted the December teacher luncheon. These students worked extremely hard!

KHS/KCTC Senior Jordan Crawford wins National Competition!! Jordan's artwork was chosen over hundreds of students across the United States for the Skills USA Week t-shirt design. It's a GREAT DAY TO BE AN INDIAN!!!
