Never been absent winners for November- December!

Dr. Leeker popped in Mrs. Pickens's class last week to issue challenge coins to two students who wrote him letters requesting changes at South School. (It was a November writing project.). He encouraged De’Von and Eduardo to continue looking for ways to improve their school and praised them for writing well.
Dr. Leeker knew the boys by name before he walked in. That, and the time he took to have positive conversations with them and the whole class, is impressive! It just goes to show that Dr. Leeker is all about the business of knowing and supporting ALL students and staff.
Thank you, Dr. Leeker, for being this kind of leader. It makes all the difference.

South School collected over 2500 canned food items to donate to the Kennett Jaycee Good Neighbor project. A BIG thanks to the 5th grade Girl Scouts for helping sort the food items and to Mrs. Baker's 4th grade class who collected 722 items!
