KSD #39 would like to congratulate Dr. Andi Maddox for successfully completing her dissertation this past week. Dr. Maddox has 26 years of educational experience and is employed as the District's Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

KSD #39 was able to open the High School FEMA building last night for our community to seek shelter once the tornado warning was activated.
Thanks to the support from our community to build the FEMA building, we were able to welcome almost 500 people last night!

Congratulations to Dr. McMullan, our South Elementary Principal, on being named the Kennett Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year! We are proud of the work she does and the way she inspires her students and staff to do their best. Well done!


We are excited to introduce Morgan Earnheart as our new Community Health Worker! Morgan will be working throughout the district, helping to support the needs of our students and families. The National Weather Service (NWS) has advised there is an Enhanced Risk for Severe Thunderstorms on Friday, March 14, 2025, across the entire Mid-South area. According to the NWS, primary threats include damaging wind gusts, a few tornadoes, and large hail. In the event of a Tornado WARNING, the KSD #39 FEMA building located on the campus of Kennett High School will be open to patrons of the district. **Please Note, animals will not be allowed in the FEMA building unless the proper paperwork has been previously filed.

The Dunklin County Health Department will be on campus May 6th to provide FREE TDAP & Menactra vaccines for students entering 8th & 12th grade for the 25-26 school year. These vaccines are required by the state, so don’t miss this opportunity!
