🧡 September is National Suicide Prevention Month 🧡 This month, we are talking about mental health and why it’s important to ask for help when you need it. If you or someone you know is feeling sad or alone, you are not alone. Let’s be kind and take care of each other.

In accordance with Missouri statutes, all schools in Missouri are required to complete annual active shooter training. The faculty and staff of Kennett School District participated in this training today. Thank you to Shield Solutions for an in depth and very informative training. Also, a big thank you to the Kennett Police department, Dunklin County Sheriffs department and the Dunklin County Juvenile Office who was also in attendance for the training. School safety is always a top priority and we are thankful for the community support.

Kennett Middle School’s TOP recently held their second fundraiser supporting the Kennett Humane Department (KHD). Attendees of the 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament were encouraged to bring dog food or make a monetary donation as their entry fee to watch the games. The generous donations helped purchase a new dog-washing tub for the animal shelter. This tub will make it significantly easier for the shelter staff to bathe and care for the animals, improving their quality of life. Thank you to the community support for the KHD! Pictured are a few of our TOP members and Tena Petix, one of the hard working Humane Department staff!
