Kennett Middle School’s TOP recently held their second fundraiser supporting the Kennett Humane Department (KHD). Attendees of the 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament were encouraged to bring dog food or make a monetary donation as their entry fee to watch the games. The generous donations helped purchase a new dog-washing tub for the animal shelter. This tub will make it significantly easier for the shelter staff to bathe and care for the animals, improving their quality of life. Thank you to the community support for the KHD! Pictured are a few of our TOP members and Tena Petix, one of the hard working Humane Department staff!

The Missouri Department of Social Services is grateful to your school in partnering with us by including the above image in your emails or newsletters to parents. This information gives a high-level overview of the program and encourages parents to subscribe for email alerts and to update their address if they have SNAP or Temporary Assistance.
