I'm a little behind making this post, but we want to send a huge THANK YOU to the First United Methodist Church's Led by Thread group. These wonderful ladies knitted and donated 600 beautiful scarves to Masterson last month. Every student in pre-k through 2nd grade received a scarf. Our students love them and have been wearing them proudly!🧣
I missed all of the owl pellet dissection fun with AR book club this week because of a yucky stomach flu, but luckily Ms. Brown captured lots of great pics. I was told that lots of mouse skulls were found so I believe everyone had a fantastic time at KHS. Thank you Ms. McCormick and Ms. Porterfield!! 🦉🐭

Congratulations to these 15 amazing Second Grade students who worked their tails off first semester and earned a spot in Masterson's 23/24 AR book club! 🎉📚
Today was their first adventure at KHS with Ms. McCormick’s class to discuss their latest read, "The War with Grandpa." They jumped right in to some grandpa-related topics! They explored similes, discussed the pros and cons of having their own grandfathers move in, and learned about the different types of conflicts found in the story. But the real scoop is that I learned we have a few local grandpas who might be a little grumpy at times and may even have a knack for gobbling up all the good snacks when they’re around. 😜
Masterson students wrapped up this first fun activity by sharing a snack with their new KHS friends and then headed back to Masterson for 100th day activities.
