Mrs. Patterson’s class has been focusing on celebrating the good in one another by choosing a student to receive the Buddy Award each day. Students are given the opportunity to nominate a classmate they noticed going above and beyond to be kind or helpful that day. Then, the class votes to select the winner. The chosen student gets to enjoy spending the next day with Buddy at their table. Below are the thoughtful reasons each “Buddy” was selected.
Blakeley- "Blakeley asked a student to play with her when they didn't have a friend at recess." "Blakeley helped me get on my computer when it didn't work" "Blakeley helped me read a word that was hard."
Sammy- "Sammy helped me at reading." "Sammy was kind at lunch today" "He worked hard at math and was nice to help me on Kahoot." Weston- "He always helps us when our work is hard". "He did a good job reading this morning and was kind at lunch." "He made me laugh."
Saniyah- "Saniyah always cares about everyone." "Saniyah cheered for us during our game." "Saniyah said I had a good try during my turn throwing Easter eggs in the bucket."
First grade field trip
Ms. Alyssa's class had an "egg"cellent Friday last week! We practiced spelling words with shaving cream, did a Peep tasting test, and had our egg hunt and party. We love to have fun while learning!
