🖤💛1st grade book club!! So proud of these students who read books, took tests, and earned their points for their snack and extra recess! Our goal is to build strong readers, in a fun self-paced way! As we get more and more independent readers, we will be adding to our book club! Our goal is for all students to join the club! 😎🤓

The cutest little turkeys in Mrs. Jett's art class!🦃

We had some great disguised turkeys in Mrs. French's class. Those turkey hunters aren't going to find our turkeys for Thanksgiving! 🦃🍗🦃

Happy World Kindness Day!
Masterson started off the morning by showing a random act of kindness to all staff by surprising them with their favorite Sonic drink.
We challenge you to do something kind for someone today as well!💙

Mrs. Patterson's class was honored to have Mrs. Stephanie & Mr. Doug (Brooklyn's grandparents) visit our class room for Veteran's Day.

They kept their pinky promise!! Yay for the golden fork & yay for working hard to do what is expected in the cafeteria!! 🍴🏆

This week's shout outs on the Wow Wall! We're so proud of everyone's hard work and kind behavior!🖤💛

Mrs. French's class had two veterans join us for breakfast this morning. Thank you for your service! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Mrs. Freeman's STEM class learning to work together to create voting booths. (Students in grades Kindergarten-5th-Grade have STEM each week as a special class.) One of the bests parts of this activity was Mrs. Freeman allowing each group the opportunity to explain to the class their individual plans. Getting Better Each Day!

Mrs. French's students made it to the polls and cast their ballots. Loved the red, white, and blue today! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Ms. Jones' class putting in their votes!

I popped in and just happened to catch Mrs. Ashley Freeman doing the cutest STEM lesson on the book, “Duck for President”!
After reading the story, students were to design a voting booth for Duck with these criteria:
❤️The booth must be freestanding.
🤍The booth must contain a flat surface for Duck to lay his ballot.
💙The booth must give the voter some privacy.
Constraints:
🇺🇸The booth must be easily entered and exited.
🇺🇸Only the provided materials could be used. (There were all sorts of materials!)
What a creative, educational, and timely lesson! Several of the kids met the challenge and many came close. ❤️

Masterson had the best little mock election today! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸
The students learned about elections, why they are important, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens. 💪
❤️Each person (509) in the building had to present his voter registration card to be able to vote.
🤍Each person cast a vote privately in his own ward.
💙Student-of-the-month nominees and parent volunteers manned the polls, distributing ballots, handing out “I voted!” stickers, and enforcing voting laws.
🇺🇸Votes were counted and the outcome presented to the school.
It was a great day to be an Indian and an American! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
