Today was their first adventure at KHS with Ms. McCormick’s class to discuss their latest read, "The War with Grandpa." They jumped right in to some grandpa-related topics! They explored similes, discussed the pros and cons of having their own grandfathers move in, and learned about the different types of conflicts found in the story. But the real scoop is that I learned we have a few local grandpas who might be a little grumpy at times and may even have a knack for gobbling up all the good snacks when they’re around. 😜
Masterson students wrapped up this first fun activity by sharing a snack with their new KHS friends and then headed back to Masterson for 100th day activities.

Recently, the Kennett #39 School District applied for and was approved to purchase two, electric buses at no cost to the District. Bus Drivers, Mr. Kirk and Mr. Jeff drive our electric buses daily.
We had some fun learning subtraction with our number lines and colored chips! 💛🖤
A reminder that the Kennett #39 School District will host an Open House tonight for the FEMA building located on the KHS campus from 4:00-5:15 and the Girl's Basketball game will start at 6:00.
Shout out to Mrs. Waddell who donated school supplies to Mrs. Raina, Mrs. Perdomo, and Mrs. Patterson's classes. She wanted to support these first year teachers who were all former students of hers during her time at KSD 39!
