KHS picture day is Thursday, August 27th, 2026. Please see the attached order form to order your child's pictures.

*Attention* This afternoon, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, between 2:00pm and 3:00pm, KHS along with the Kennett Police Department will be testing our Emergency Response Notification system. Those in the area of KHS may hear a series of sirens, horns and voice prompts, over our internal and external speakers, indicating an emergency. This will be only a test.

Please come out and help us "Stuff The Bus," with school supplies at the Kennett Walmart. We will be here from 9:00 to 3:00.

KHS course offerings for summer include: PE/ Health, Personal Finance, and Credit Recovery. Tuesday- Friday 7:30-3:30, May 19- June 12.

We are proud to celebrate these three outstanding KHS students who represented our school at the first-ever Missouri State Job Olympics Competition in Columbia! 🎉 These students demonstrated incredible skill, professionalism, and determination while competing against students from across the state and even brought home four medals! 🏅 We are so proud of their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to these students for their accomplishments and for representing KHS so well! 💛🖤

Missouri FCCLA gives members incredible opportunities to grow as leaders — including Legislative Shadowing! Recently, Courtlynn Lynn, Missouri FCCLA Vice President of Scholarships, had the opportunity to shadow Senator Jason Bean at the Missouri State Capitol. During the experience, she learned about the legislative process, leadership, and public service firsthand. Courtlynn was also proudly introduced on the Senate floor as a Missouri FCCLA State Officer. Legislative Shadowing allows FCCLA members to connect leadership with real-world experiences and make their voices heard. Discover your future with Missouri FCCLA!

On April 30, KHS 9th graders completed their 6th and final session of Teen Mental Health First Aid. Each student is now a certified teen Mental Health First Aider! 👏

Through this training, students gained valuable skills to support friends who may be experiencing or developing a mental health or substance use challenge. They learned the tMHFA 5-Step Action Plan, explored different types of mental health challenges, and discussed how to respond to crisis situations.

Our freshmen are now better equipped to recognize warning signs, respond with care, and involve a trusted adult. We are so proud of their commitment to supporting one another and building a stronger, more compassionate school community. 💙
