Good morning, Kennett Middle School went into a lockdown after being advised by local authorities that there was a suspicious person in the area of the school. After a few minutes, law enforcement made us aware that we were able to go out of the lockdown and resume normal activities. Dr. Leeker

September 16-20 Criminal Justice students participated in a Forensic Science week. Students were tasked with a homicide case and given clues all week long to possible develop suspect and or suspects. On Monday September 23 the last clue of the investigation where they learned to suspect was a person of interest however the case became cold and later their was a follow up and due to DNA more leads were generated and learned the suspect was serving prison time and later confessed to the murder on a plea agreement. Good Job to both the morning and afternoon classes

Per East Prairie, this evenings KHS football game has been postponed due to weather conditions and their homecoming festivities. It has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 28 at 3:00 p.m.

Today, Law Enforcement Students learned proper handcuffing techniques.






Today Skills USA held officer speeches and elections. Each candidate presented a prepared speech to their peers and answered questions from club members.
