A big THANK YOU to Dan Cole with SafeDefend and to our Kennett School District staff members who participated in today’s training! SafeDefend provides another important layer to our district’s overall approach to school safety and emergency preparedness. Today’s training gave our staff the opportunity to learn more about the system, how it works, and how it can be used during an emergency. We appreciate Dan for spending time with our team and preparing our staff for the implementation of SafeDefend, which will be fully installed throughout the district this fall. We are grateful for our staff’s commitment to training, preparation, and doing everything we can to provide a safe and secure environment for our students and staff.

What a great way to kick off the new school year! We were honored to have Jason Booher serve as our Back-to-School staff speaker. Jason did an outstanding job sharing his powerful story of resilience, leadership, and purpose while challenging each of us to get better every day. His message was a great reminder that the work we do matters, the example we set matters, and each day gives us another opportunity to make a positive difference for our students and one another. Thank you, Jason, for helping us start the year inspired, motivated, and ready to keep getting better!

The Back to School Bash was a great way to kick off the new school year!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the evening such a wonderful event for our students and families!

We are incredibly grateful for our generous sponsors, community partners, volunteers, staff, and students who donated their time, resources, and support. Events like this are only possible because of a community that continues to show up for our kids.

And thank you to all of the students and families who joined us! Seeing everyone together and excited for the year ahead made the night a huge success.

📣 Attention Kennett High School Fall Sports Families! 🖤💛 Fall sports are almost here! Official practices begin Monday, August 10, and we’re excited to welcome our student-athletes back for another great season. Before your athlete can participate, please review these important reminders: 🏥 Current Physical Required Every student-athlete must have a current MSHSAA physical on file before being allowed to practice. If a physical is not on file, your athlete cannot participate in practice until one has been submitted. Please make arrangements now if you have not already done so. Please make sure your PRIVIT information is updated as soon as possible. 🏃 14-Practice Requirement Per MSHSAA regulations, all athletes must complete 14 documented practices before they are eligible to compete in a contest. This requirement cannot be waived, so attendance beginning with the first day of practice is extremely important. 🌡️ Hydration & Heat Safety Athletes should arrive each day well-hydrated, dressed appropriately, and prepared for the summer heat. Water will be available, but proper hydration begins before arriving at practice. 📅 Practice & Competition Schedules Individual team practice schedules and season information will be provided by each head coach. Competition schedules will be available the first week of practice, or can be found on the MSHSAA website. 🖤💛 We can’t wait to see our Kennett Indians back in action! Thank you for helping us provide a safe, successful, and exciting fall sports season. #INDIANS | #OneTribe | #GoKennett
