Due to inclement weather, the Kennett #39 School District will release school early today at 12:45. We will make a decision about school for tomorrow as soon as possible.
The Kennett #39 School District will be in session Tuesday, February 18th. This is scheduled to be a full day of school. However, we will be closely monitoring incoming weather. There is a chance we will need to dismiss students early. We wanted to send this announcement out early for parents to have a backup plan in place in the event we do have to dismiss early.
We will send out additional information as we learn more about the incoming weather.
Valentine's Day Party - Mrs. Key's Class ❤️🩷❤️

Mrs. Quinn's class has been working hard on researching inventors. Each student illustrated their person to represent the inventor and their inventions.

Happy Valentine's Day from Mrs. Quinn's class!

Happy Valentine's Day from Mrs. Highfill's class! Today is all about love and we LOVE our class! We drew portraits and each class mate put a compliment on the each picture. Everyone left with 20 compliments. ❤️

The count is in and drum roll........We received 463 items including $80 in monetary donations from our 101 Days of school and Kennett Humane Department supply drive. A huge thank you to everyone who donated from the community and school. Also, a big thank you to the 4th grade Girl Scout troop 72044 for making signs and helping promote the event. South School had a great week! 🐾🐶♥️🖤

Today Miller bought a Facebook shoutout with his PBIS points. This is a favorite because we get to talk to the students and find out their interests.
Miller is in Mrs. Highfill's 3rd grade class. He likes Reading and Social Studies. In his free time at school he enjoys Reading books and Prodigy. At home in his free time he likes playing with Legos and being lazy. Miller loves to travel to Montana in the mountains and Florida to the Beach. Please join me in giving Miller some South School love.

Every classroom could use more tissue! If you are out and about this weekend, the students would appreciate an extra box or two.

Friendly little race in Anglin/Watson to see who could come up with 101 words the fastest. Congrats to KellyAnn and Daniel for tying.

Thank you to everyone who participated in 101 Days of South School. We also appreciate Sparky from the Kennett Fire Department coming out as well as a special appearance from Cruella herself. Stay tuned for more info on how many donations we received for KHD. Drop your photos here ⬇️

Positive office referrals to start the day! Congrats to Hazel and Rylan!

Don't forget! Thursday is 101 Days of School. Keep the donations coming. We can't wait to see you in spots! If we get 101 Donations for KHD then everyone gets an extra recess! 🖤🐶🤍❤️

The students had fun hunting for 100 Dr. McMullan's today! Our winners were happy with 100 Grand!
