Auto Collision Repair Technology
Auto Collision Repair is designed to teach students the basic fundamentals of repairing vehicles to "pre-accident". A main objective of the course is to prepare students for the workforce. Students will learn skills relating to vehicle surface preparations and final finishes. Repair estimation, detailing, and customer relations are all integral parts of this course.
Automotive Technology
Vehicles manufactured for today's market require more trained service technicians than ever before. Technicians will have to be better trained and more competent to work on automobiles of today. Students will be taught theory and application along with hands-on repair of engines, brakes, electrical systems, power trains, air conditioning and suspension systems. Training simulators are used frequently in the classroom to teach fuel injection, anti-lock brakes, and electronic ignition systems.
Graphic Communications/printing
Most of us fail to realize the full impact printed materials have on our everyday lives: paper money, credit cards, textbooks, newspapers, etc. Upon successful completion of Graphic Communications/Printing, students will be prepared for entry-level positions in the printing industry. Students will have the opportunity to design and print their own personal projects. Students will earn recognition for their work by teachers, students, and the community by utilizing hands-on practice while designing and printing products such as play, music, and athletic programs.
Health Occupations
Health Occupations is designed as an exploratory course for seniors, providing insight into the many opportunities that are available in the health field. inaddition to extensive classroom instruction, students will gain clinical experience in several health service occupations. Students are given the option to complete the necessary requirements to be certified as a nursing assistant.
Electronics/cisco Network Academy
Information Technology is a one year course that prepares the student for successful completion of the CompTIA A+ certification exam. It is the foundation course for all computer technicians. The student will gain knowledge and experience that will allow them to install, upgrade, and repair personal computers and peripherals, (printers, scanners, and modems), thru a series of different hands-on Lab Experiments. The theory and hands-on experiences are non-manufacturer specific. Networking Technology is a one year course that prepares the student to take the Cisco CCENT certification exam. The student will gain knowledge and experience setting up networks, maintaining networks, and managing networks. Instruction will be both online and hands-on lab experiments.
Law Enforcement
Students will be given a broad range of criminal justice studies including, understanding and interpreting the U.S. Constitution, law enforcement, corrections, and courts. Practical skills of law enforcement including, handcuffing, communication, crime scene investigation, and document preparation will also be taught. Students will experience lectures from police officers, coroners, law enforcement administration officials, attorneys and correction officers.
Marketing
Marketing education is designed to prepare motivated people for marketing careers. The curriculum includes marketing in our economy, understanding the consumer, developing products and pricing, wholesaling, retailing, selling and advertising. Students are employed in the business community to receive on the job training. Credit is giving for both the class instruction and the supervised work experience.
Welding Technology
Welding is one of the fastest-growing occupations today. It has developed rapidly to meet the needs of new manufacturing processes. The Welding program presents a course of study in shielded metal arc, oxy-fuel, gas metal arc and gas tungsten arc welding, as well as theory and practice in accordance with current industry practices. This comprehensive training program includes the teaching of manipulative skills, beginning with basic operations and followed by a complete series of practices on all types of weld joints in all positions on various metals. The successful application of the welding process requires the correct use of proper tools and equipment. Students learn necessary theory in the classroom and put theory into practice in the shop. Employment opportunities exist in factory production and in heavy construction in almost every industry in which metal is used. Qualified welders are constantly in demand.
Office Technology
When you graduate from high school, do you want to be marketable for an entry-level job in the business field? Do you want to work at an area business while still in high school? If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, then office technology is the class for you. Office Technology offers the type of training that will equip students to meet today's job qualifications and to be successful in becoming gainfully employed. The use of computers, transcription machines, calculators, etc., as well as simulating work in an office are just a few areas studied throughout the program. Personal keyboarding/Computer Applications 1 required.
